I really enjoyed this book and thought it would be great to

discuss it with people because there was so much in it

- particularly historical detail that was fascinating.

The mix of real people in with fictional characters

was also interesting and gave the story added depths.

I heard a little of this on the radio and felt I really wanted to read it right away.

It's called "A cheerful book about depression" and that's exactly how it feels.

It doesn't say it's wrong to feel depressed and make you feel bad  - it says it's natural and gives you help in putting your moods into perspective. I'd recommend it to anyone who ever feels blue for no real reason.
